What is Lymphoedema?

Lymphoedema is a chronic swelling of part of your body, usually an arm or a leg. Most often seen as a result of Cancer treatment, but can also be caused by repeated infections (Cellulitis), Obesity or may even be genetic. Whatever the cause, specialist help can be difficult to find, but we know how to help you and potentially change your life!

Dawn Heal is highly experienced and successful in the care of people with Lymphoedema and has been practicing for over 15 years.

She has been Treasurer of the British Lymphoedema Society and educates nurses across the country.

Treatments

MLD (Manual Lymphatic Drainage) is highly effective in managing Lymphoedema and other conditions. DLT (Decongestive Lymphatic Therapy) is a combination therapy proven to reduce even the most severe swelling.

I operate from the Candover Clinic. This is a Private Hospital situated in the grounds of the Basingstoke and North Hampshire NHS Trust Hospital.
